On the 7th of December, and in the heart of Cape Town’s trendiest Italian spot, Club Kloof, SCAPE Magazine embarked on yet another first… launching the 7th Annual Coffee Table Edition in true SCAPE style at an unparalleled launch party! Transforming First Thursday into a night to remember, The Coffee Table Edition’s unveiling sparked a buzz that reverberated down Kloof Street, and now these gems sit squarely on the coffee tables of SA’s brightest design firms!
A red-rope entrance set the stage for an exclusive and groovy guestlist to make their way inside, where our glossy, 200-pager proudly awaited a browse! Amidst amazing eats and a dedicated bubbly bar in partnership with Spier, industry luminaries from SA’s leading firms – dhk, Bomax, SAOTA, Peerutin Karol, Jakupa, Ohkre Collective, KMH, Vivid Architects, Boogertman + Partners, the list goes on – poured into our exclusive event to grab their very own copy, cheers the fantastic achievement, and rub shoulders with industry elite.
Laughter and conversation echoed as guests speed-sketched their interpretations of our cover, inspired by Koos Groenewald’s vibrant reimagination of Mountain House, courtesy of rOtring pencils and sponsored by Pedersen + Lennard with delightful prizes. A toast marked the celebration of an issue filled with the biggest and brightest projects of the year and honoured positive industry strides—a nod to the collaborative spirit that defines the SCAPE audience and our drive.
Amidst the final clinks of glasses, the soirée concluded as a triumphant celebration of the beloved Coffee Table Edition. With a full and successful 2023, we have certainly set the tone for the 2024 year ahead.
