Architecture Open Studios is returning to Cape Town this October, bringing together architects and built environment professionals in this popular industry event.
Open Studios invites you to see the behind the scenes of Cape Town’s leading architecture and design practices, as they open their studio doors to the public. This year’s event is sponsored by Oggie Hardwood Flooring, and the line-up is bigger than ever with more than 20 studios taking part.
Open Studios takes place on Tuesday 17 October and Wednesday 18 October, with different studios opening each night from 5pm – 8pm. Each studio will be showcasing their work in their own way, giving visitors the unique opportunity to view projects and speak to the teams behind the buildings that shape our city.
Tuesday 17 October will see studios opening up in the CBD stretching from De Waterkant and the Foreshore in the north, to Kloof Street in the south, in a walkable route traversing the city centre. On Wednesday 18 October you can visit architecture studios based in Gardens and the growing creative districts of East City, Woodstock & Salt River.
Open Studios is a free event, and you can collect a printed map at any participating studio on the night to guide you to all the studios. Information about participating studios will also be available on Open Studios Instagram, Facebook and website.
