Architectural Pioneering Consultants for Simba Vision Montessori: Located at a rural site in Tanzania, the design of Simba Vision Montessori Campus encourages students to interact with surrounding nature in close alignment with the local climatic conditions. The architectural proposal refrains from seeking solutions in complex technology- instead, it is the arrangement of spaces itself which encourages the learners to observe and engage with the context outdoors.

Elphick Proome Architecture for Nelson Mandela Cruise Terminal: After decades of operating cruises out of a rudimentary, the city of Durban now enjoys a landmark cruise terminal which is both energising and catalysing its urban context. The building’s principal engagement with the city is its spatial and visual connectivity to the historic precinct and the creation of strategic outdoor spaces linked to the city’s beachfront and harbour edge.  

GASS Architecture Studios for Green School South Africa: Green School South Africa is an eight-hectare regenerative schooling campus located in Paarl. The spatial arrangement at a macro level is what inspired the space making, but also down to the individual buildings and spaces between them. This multi-layered development where architecture and landscape coincide, creates for enticing and playful spaces where children can engage, explore and learn. 

Ochre Office for Emantini Botanical Gardens, Medicinal Garden: With a goal to modernise the concept of a traditional medicinal garden, Ochre fused the historical with contemporary aesthetics. The garden honours the relevance of medicinal plants in today’s world, offering visitors an engaging and innovation experience. The design is bold, impactful and culminates in a destination of great architectural and botanical interest. 

Lisa Rorich Architects for Kiri Camp: Located in the Okavango Delta, Botswana, Kiri Camp is a luxurious yet simple retreat featuring ten elegant, tented suites. Designed to blend historical authenticity with modern comforts and eco-consciousness, the camp offers guests a serene safari experience with breathtaking views. 

Una Stuurman Architects for St. Augustines Roman Catholic Archdiocese Church: Through innovative design solutions, the build integrates natural light and symbolic elements, transforming a Catholic church’s spatial dynamics into a sanctuary that blends sacred and artistic elements within the landscape. This endeavour not only meets the practical requirements of a growing congregation but also sets a new standard for ecclesiastical architecture in Namibia, merging tradition and innovation in harmony. 

Luxury Frontiers for Madwaleni River Lodge: The Madwaleni River Lodge in KwaZulu-Natal seamlessly combines luxury, cultural heritage, and environmental sustainability, drawing inspiration from the region’s history and rewilding efforts. The design integrates age-old cultural narratives, creating a harmonious blend with the natural surroundings.
